Biography

Gary Regner is a landscape and outdoor photographer based in central Texas. He has been practicing photography for over 20 years and concentrates on outdoor subjects; including landscapes, urban settings, animals and macros. Gary Regner Photography was established in 1995, providing images for advertising, publication, and fine art prints. The images on this website were captured with 35mm or large format cameras using professional transparency film, or with a digital camera. Gary's objective is to capture the fleeting beauty of nature and the world around us. He has spent the majority of his life perfecting his photographic skills and strives to learn more about the art every day.
Gary has lived in California, Florida, New Mexico and Germany. He moved to Austin in 1979 and has lived in the central Texas area ever since. His specialty is the wildflowers of the Texas Hill Country. He is self-taught by studying the work of others, and by trial and error. Gary graduated from Texas A&M University and holds a degree in Biomedical Science. In his spare time he also enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, mountain biking, snorkeling, building computers, web design and metal working.
Gary's photographs have been published in a large variety of media ranging from calendars, books, advertising and various periodicals. His work is also displayed in a variety of businesses around the state.
